HELEN ORR
Darwin based photographer Helen Orr has an uncanny knack of capturing the quirky and vibrant personality of people she meets. She portrays people as a whole, as integral parts of their environment and gives the viewer an understanding of each place through her images.
Traveling extensively Hels has photographed 'at street level' intimate images of families in Bangladesh, the life of surfers in the Maldives to First Nations people in communities throughout remote Northern Territory - she has an innate sense of storytelling.
She was a Documentary Finalist in the 2021 Australian Photography Awards and part of the '100 photographers to watch list 2022' by Clickphotographers.com
