AMANDA HAMILTON
Artist and photographer Amanda Hamilton, displays a body of work full of romantic, painterly, dream-like qualities. Originating from a background in Fine Art, Photography and Visual Culture, sometime in 2001 she fell completely in love with the creative freedom that comes with photography and the art of visual storytelling.
Amanda’s style has an Editorial and photo-journalistic approach – which is sometimes traditional, sometimes candid, and a little unconventional. With certain compositions, naturally drawn to layers of colour, shadow and depth, a spontaneous stream of light or the poetic movement of the wind, as well as all of the unorchestrated moments in-between.
Looking for moments of beautiful narrative and intimacy, her work is sought after by many creative types - architects, stylists, designers, painters, artists. When not shooting weddings, Amanda is immersed in commercial and exhibition work, desiring to construct new work and push herself creatively. Published extensively in print and online internationally, her diverse portfolio also seeing her work regularly on a wide range of commissioned projects for various organizations, publications, and designers.
